AoTuroaLED is a New Zealand company focused on bringing high performance, low energy, and low cost LED Retrofit Kits to the market to replace fluorescent. AoTuroaLED USA is based in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada.
AoTuroaLED founders and directors have been in the LED market for over 20 years and have extensive working relationships with Nichia of Japan, the leading developer, producer, inventor, and patent holder of White LED technology.
The name AoTuroa is based on the native Māori culture of New Zealand. In Māori mythology, Ao ("daylight") is one of the primal deities who are the unborn forces of nature. Ao is the personification of light and the ordinary world, as opposed to darkness and the underworld. He is spoken of under many forms or manifestations, including Aotūroa, “enduring day, this world,” Aomārama, “bright day, world of light and life”. With his companions, Ata, “morning,” and Whaitua, “space,” Ao resists the forces of darkness.
Our focus is on three things: 1) saving energy cost, 2) reducing maintenance costs, 3) promoting use of technology that saves the environment for future generations. We do this all at prices that are virtually the same as the technology they replace - so they essentially pay for themselves quickly.
